Committee's and Coordinators

 

Basket Raffle

Stephanie Coyle & Melanie Nichols
This committee is responsible for coordinating donations and assembling theme baskets for a raffle often held at a Family Fun Night in the spring.

 

Book Fair

Dana Suftko
Organizes the fall and spring Book Fair. Volunteers will help set up, oversee classes and help students make book choices. Crossroads library and classroom teachers benefit.

 

Buzz Book

Paula Tarrant
Assembles and publishes a school directory which includes general school information.

 

Citizen Day

Gillian Peri
Volunteers would help organize a day of celebration of our community heroes and our citizens as Americans. An assembly with speakers, and various community workers will be part of this day of recognition.

Dr. Seuss

Amy Bartels
Responsible for National Read Across America Celebration , which coincides with Dr. Seuss Day. Volunteers would plan ways to celebrate reading with special attention and activities throughout the week and on Dr. Seuss Day in March.

Family Fun Night

Gayna Jensn & Michelle Hunt
Volunteer would help plan and coordinate events for the entire Crossroads Family. These events help promote community and togetherness with activities at Crossroads. As a volunteer you would be expected to attend and volunteer for each of the three Family Fun Nights per year: October, January and April.

Fundraising Committee

Michele Moffett
Help implement and organize various fundraising projects to benefit Crossroads school.  The money raised funds and supports many clubs, groups, technology, and events to benefit the children and teachers at Crossroads.

Health& Safety

Tracey Rhodes & Kelly Umphemour
An every other year program, next for 2007-2008. Researches activities to promote ways of ensuring students health and safety.  Volunteers help organize and coordinate a Cancer Fun Run.

Historian

Jodi Bergmann
Responsible for documenting through pictures and articles information on Crossroads history.

 

Holiday Bazaar

Elyssa Raphael
Responsible for coordinating multiple events; breakfast, crafts, Santa's helpers and photos, and recruiting vendors for the yearly Holiday Bazaar. volunteers would help set up and cleanup, organize vendors, work child centered craft stations, and serve breakfast for this wonderful one day event.

 

Hospitality

Responsible for coordinating childcare and activities during PTA General Meetings.

Labels and Box Top

Sarah Miget
Coordinates the collection of promotion labels of Campbell and General Mills products to redeem for funds.

 

Market Day

Kipp Benes
Coordinating the monthly food co-op and major fundraiser for the PTA. Volunteers help with set up, distribution and delivery of orders on the first Monday of every month.

 

Membership

Kelly Umphenour
Is responsible for coordinating and tracking PTA membership for Crossroads. Organizes the membership drive.

 

Open House

Sarah Miget & Jill Mitchell
Organizes the welcoming of Crossroads families to the new school year. (August)

 

Science Night

Kim Eplett
Responsible for organizing an evening designed to inspire young scientists. Normally in February, every other year.

 

Secret Pal

Jamie Bowman
Organizes volunteers to become a "anonymous admirer", giving small gifts each month to ALL employees of Crossroads.

 

Silent Auction

Amy Bartek
Organizes the silent auction of small gifts and time donated by the staff at the Fall Family Fun Night.  Volunteers would help make posters, encourage and organize the staff donations.

 

Spirit Wear

Tracy King
Organizes and sells Crossroads branded clothing to promote school spirit.  Volunteers would help work at the store and assist collecting orders.

 

Staff Appreciation

Sandy Kaestner
Responsible for organizing and implementing ideas to show the staff and faculty how much they are appreciated.  Volunteers would help by setting up lunches and dinners for staff, contributing food and snacks, and generating ideas to help recognize our staff.

 

Veteran's/Citizenship Day

Gillian Peri
Organizes special events to recognize our veterans as well as teaching the students what it means to be a citizen. Volunteers can help with this one day event in a number of ways; generating donations of food for Veteran’s lunch, organizing and implanting the assembly, sending invitations and collecting responses from veterans, setting up, serving food and cleaning up, decorations, essay contest, and Wall of Fame of Crossroads Veterans.

 

Yearbook

NEED COMMITTEE HEAD
Responsible for organizing and creating Crossroads Yearbook, and working with students on the yearbook staff to take photos at events.
